Linda’s goal is to inspire students to leave the world a little nicer than they found it. To prepare for this quest, she received herB.A. in Education from Furman University in Greenville, South Carolina, U.S.A. Her post graduate studieshave been at the University of South Florida, and she has extensive trainingthe International Baccalaureate Programme and in Kagan Cooperative Learning. Linda has been a conference presenter for theFlorida Council of Independent Schools. She enjoyed many teaching and administrative positions at theIndependent Day School in Florida, where she was the supervising teacher fornumerous interns. She currently hasreturned to the classroom fulltime to teach history, geography, culture, andlanguage skills to middle school teenagers at St. Mary’s Episcopal Day Schoolin Tampa, Florida, U.S.A. Under her leadership, her students are forming apartnership with youth in Papoli, Uganda, Africa. Because of her love for culture, she has lednumerous student and family trips to a variety of countries. Along with Co-chairman Dr. Elaine Sullivan,Linda led the first ISC Youth Conference in Beijing, China. She believes that the mission of ISC toprepare students for the global society is crucial in improving world healthand safety. Linda excitedly anticipatesthe 2010 ISC Youth World Conference in Sweden, where students from around theglobe will meet face-to-face to train and plan for the future. |
